When Champ passed, I received so many heartfelt messages. Honestly, I was so overwhelmed, I couldnt read or respond to many of them. But I didnt want to lose them. So I copied them all here , so that when I was ready, I could come back to read them. The impact Champ had on so many lives is simply astounding. I'm still at a loss without him.

My heart is breaking, I'm so distraught and the tears have been falling like the rain today. I've waited to post anything cause I really have no words. Bullie-Nation has lost one of it's greatest ambassadors so suddenly. Champ was loved by all, his story is enough to bring you to your knees. Shot several times, used as a bait dog.. He over came his injuries to become a therapy dog, a T.V. Star, but most of all the face of what great things rescue can accomplish. I will never forget your sweet, loving hugs. The happiness your presence brought to all and the last time I was able to give you kisses- Bullieque.. We love you with all our hearts. You will be forever missed.. Prayers to his sweet momma, Neely Bryanne and prayers to all of my fellow Bullie-Nation friends as we all mourn the passing of such a sweet soul. -Jessica Hall Wallace
My heart is broken. The world had to say goodbye to Champ Waring today. He was such a special boy and I know his mom Neely Bryanne is in a very sad place. I hope his memories can help her heal the pain. -Kathryn Russ Dunlap
Omg I am heartbroken. We loved Champ and always will. I am so glad we got to know him. Neely Bryanne my deepest condolences. I know my Brandy Noel will show him around the bridge -Carol Bryant
Once in a lifetime.. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it! -Kim Livorno
With sadness we stand in solidarity with our dear friends and animal welfare advocates The Diva Dogs to light the way over the rainbow bridge for Champ Waring who was very ill with cancer. Champ will be missed, but his spirit will always be with us. In honor of Champ, Lily, Rocco and I will play a little game of Jolly ball. Love you, sweet boy! -Leby Gonzalez Cpdt-ka (Rocco’s Pack Pet Services)
Oh Neely Bryanne, I am so very sorry to hear of Champ's passing. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. -Gena Arrington Oddo
I have thought about you all day Neely. It has been hard to come up with any words to express the pain in my heart I have for you now. We all loved Champ and I also had the honor of meeting you and Champ in April at Bullie Que which meant the world to me. I wish I had some words, any words that would help ease your pain but I don't. I can only say time will help heal your pain Champ will always be with you in your heart and with all of us too. We all loved him. His rescue story is known about far beyond the walls of your world. I've told so many his story and his happy ending. You gave him so much love... You showed him how to trust again and that could not have been easy. I want to thank you. Thank you for sharing him with us... Thank you for loving Champ and letting us all share in that love. I have to believe in rainbow bridge. I truly believe Champ is there now. He is young and healthy and running free there now. He is greeting old friends .. My Winston is so happy to see his friend and Girl is wiggling out saying he is here!! He is here. Mama he made it safe and sound! We will all miss him here in this world and God just got himself another angel. If there is anything I can do. Please let me me know. RIP my sweet friend Champ .. -Tammy Palmer
Sending you love and light. Know that he will always be around you, giving you love and puppy kisses from the "inside". -Summer Strand
Though I only had the pleasure of seeing him in person once a year at the Bullympics, I adopted Champ Waring as my favorite English Bulldog (sorry UGA). I laughed every day watching his exploits on Facebook and Instagram. And now he's gone. Canine cancer and my buddy is gone. His mom Neely Bryanne was so generous to share Champ's life with all of us. His story was one of redemption and triumph. And thanks to Neely, we got to laugh and go along for the ride. I will admit it. I don't care. I cried today. I left my desk and went outside to cry. I will miss Champie as much as the rest of us but obviously never as much as his mom, his grams, and his brudders. You, as a dog, left an indelible mark on this earth. Few among us will ever achieve what you did in your short time on earth. Godspeed, my four legged friend. -OJ Callahan
My friend Champ Waring went to the Rainbow Bridge this morning, please read his AMAZING story of what rescue truly is about. Champ touched so many lives around the world with his fight and determination to live and make the world a better place and that he did. RIP Champ and prayers of strength, comfort and peace for his mom Neely Bryanne. -Sandi Mangus Bianchi
I just wanted to share this pic -- it's always meant so much to me. I remember when I got it in the mail...I'd won a contest -- by identifying which butt was Champ's and which was Baby Bear's...it will always bring a huge smile to my face and laughter too as I think back on it. I will always cherish it. Thank you for sending this to me -- pawtographed. It's precious and priceless
This week I shed many tears for a dog who lived 3,000 miles away and whom I never met. This dog not only survived the horrors of dog-baiting, but became one of the most loved and talented dogs I have ever known: an international TV personality, Pet Fashion Week supermodel, decorated Dog Scout, agility superstar, renowned artist, anti-bullying advocate, certified therapist, Jolly Ball enthusiast, talented thespian, philanthropist, gala host, rescue supporter, foster brother, Mumphee King, Bullympics competitor, seasoned Geocacher/Letterboxer, etc. He was all of these thing and so much more, teaching us about forgiveness, perseverance, and unconditional love. In short, he embodied all things good in this world and will be sorely missed. Thank you, Neely, for sharing your special boy with each of us. When I look at the moon and stars, I will think of him along with other loved ones I miss dearly. And I know he will live on in the memories, stories, and hearts of thousands of admirers around the globe. Rest peacefully, our Superhero, our Champ. Love you to the moon & back—always. -Kathie Coble O'Hanlon

People say animals are just animals, but they are more than that. They feel and inspire everyone and everything. From someone next door to someone in the other side of the country they make a huge impact in their lives. I am grateful to have met such a wonderful dog who inspired and brought smiles to the faces of many, including me. We will miss you dearly Champ, but we will always have your colorful painting paws in our hearts forever. -Monica Pajuelo
Love is patient with other dogs, love is kind to even those who aren't always kind to them. It does not envy other dogs toys, it does not boast how much it is loved by its family. It does not dishonor others who mistreat it, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered when brothers nip at him, it keeps no record of wrongs from people who don't know better. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects others from those who bully, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love shares his spotlight and his jollyballs. Love never fails. Champ, you are the epitome of love. You changed the face of rescue through loving everyone you met. While my heart is broken, I will remember all the amazing moments of joy we got to share while you were here. Save a Jolly Ball just for you and me up there, ok? Love forever and always, Beans
In my country we wish the living health and strength in order to remember their beloved taken ... I wish the same for you and I hope it makes sense in English. Be strong for your Bronx and Charles and Champ will be always alive in our hearts. With much love, Labi and Argos (our English Bullie)
Neely Bryanne there is a very special strawberry moon tonight for Champ. Keep your eyes to the sky, my friend - Sandra Stegman
he will live on forever in so many hearts...far beyond what any of the family realize....he touched so many for so many reasons....a true gift and the honor was all ours to have just a glimpse into his journey, so blessed to have found his journey shared by Neely and that we were able to see a bit of it. -Michelle Lynn Childers

Big hugs for you Neely. I cannot even imagine what you're feeling. It was so lovingly apparent that Champ was your world and you made his world perfect. I'm not even his mom and I was so proud of him and all you helped him accomplish. What an amazing team you two were and will always be. A love like that never dies. In my heart I was Champy's #1 fan and can't imagine loving him more...my only sadness is that I never got to meet him in person. Friends, those of you who have dogs know the love I try to describe. There is no touching it, Unless you are God, of course. One of the most beautiful souls on this planet just crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge. His name was Champ. He was a therapy dog, a dog scout, a model, and an actor dog. Before he was rescued by his Momma, he was used as a bait dog for dog fights and was in horrible shape. Not only was he bullied by other dogs and humans, his wounds were many and recovery was difficult. He triumphed and learned to trust other dogs again with the healing love of his Mom. He was an inspiration, a sweet old soul, and a Cleveland Browns fan. No words I write, think, or say can give comfort to Neely on this dark day, so I am asking you all for prayers for her heart. Champ was so blessed to have found her, that love, that love that NOTHING (except God) will ever come close to. Dearest Champ, thank you. Next Tuesday it will be 2 years since our Beloved Brutus crossed over to the bridge. Will you please find him and tell him we miss him and love him? Tell him to please stop messing with the pool pump. It's not funny anymore. Give my love to Girl, Digzy, Mack, and Corky too. I will never forget you. Thank you for your love! ( The Diva Dogs ) -Judy Vanek-Peterson
I wanted you to know that even though i never had the pleasure of meeting Champ, he changed my life. You were his angel and gave him the most incredible life. I can't imagine the pain you are in but you are loved beyond measure, You took a special little man and gave him a voice and allowed him to change the world for the better. You are a wonderful person and thank you for saving him all those years ago. Xoxo -Kim Baker

I never thought I could be impacted so greatly by a dog. I never thought that a dog could be a hero. I never thought that dog could change so many lives. I never thought my heart would break at the passing of a dog that wasn't mine. But you see, Champ Waring was not just a dog. He was a survivor, a warrior, a confidante, a goofball, an athlete, a therapist, an inspiration, an understanding soul, a caring heart... Champ was a friend. Neely from our home to yours it really saddens us to know champy has gone to the bridge.many of us know what you are going through and the pain you feel in your heart but know we are here for you and each one of us is giving you a hug.one day we will all be reunited with our fur babies for eternity and champy touched so many lives including ours and now he has his wings. - Lindy Yvonne Davis
As y'all know, the words usually flow from me, but in this instance I can't find the right words. I don't know if it is because Champ Waring was the reason I am apart of Bullie Nation, or because he was truly a one of a kind bulldog. Bulldogs are resilient, that's their nature, but I don't know how many can endure what he did and become the Champ we all knew and loved. Neely Bryanne you an incredible woman, I wish I could hug you and take away your pain, but I know you are strong, and with the support of Champ's thousands adoring fans, you WILL get through this. His story is not done, just the chapters here on Earth. #foreverchamp -Wendy McMayon
So sorry for your loss Neely, I loved seeing Champ and getting one of his yummy hugs. I'm sure he took a piece of your heart when he passed. Sending love -Karen Roberts
I haven't posted anything because "I'm sorry" just doesn't cut it. Unfortunately a nights sleep hasn't brought any pearls of wisdom either.... You already know what a special soul Champ was; he was also the first bulldog I have ever loved, although I am not the first to say so. I know we all hoped there would be more time, but clearly the will of thousands wasn't enough to reverse the inevitable. We are all heartbroken, but none of our heartbreak can come close to what you are feeling. We love you. I love you. And Champ will be missed, every day by so many. You already know that if there is anything you need I am here. -Christine Geschwill
Champ was one of Taz 1st Bulldog Friends on FB, We are so Sorry for your Loss and are thinking of you -Kathy Coakley Dion
I wanted to tell you how much Champ, a bulldog who I never had the pleasure to meet in person, meant to me. He was one of the first bulldogs I found on FB and his story is one of such triumph. Neely, you gave him a life that he never could have imagined prior to you coming into his life. He was an inspiration to us all, just as you are. Because of Champ and you, Neely, I became very actively and proactively involved in bulldog rescue and have met so many dear friends in the process. I was just thinking the other day how sad it is that most of us humans are put here on Earth for such a long time compared to our beloved furry family members and I was thinking how sad that is. But the more I think about it, I realize that our Rocket, and now your Champ, lived their lives so intensely and so full of zest in their short years that it doesn't compare to how much most humans actually "live" their entire lives. Thank you Neely for sharing Champ with us. Because of you, we fell deeply in love with him as if he were our own. He will always have a special place in our hearts. You were the best mom Champ could have ever dreamed of and he knew it every single day. -Michele Junker Cameron
Neely, I'm so sorry for your loss. Champ was a sweet boy. I'm so glad he was able to spend the rest of his life with you. We could all see from the smiles that he was having the time of his life being by your side and being your companion. I know nothing I say can heal your pain, but rest easy knowing he is no longer in pain and is waiting for the day he will be reunited with his angel on earth. He and Girl will always be by your side, if not physically, spiritually. Please let me know if you need anything. Love and prayers to you and pups from the David clan. Xoxo -Chrystina David

Prayers continue for your mum Neely Bryanne as I know this is one of the most difficult challenges of her life to go on without you. May time ease her pain and your memories comfort her...XOXOXO - Karen Rozak Kewn

My heart is just shattered... I was so happy to meet Champ (and Mom, and the "pesky brothers" - as Champ described them) at BullieQue this year - and now I'm also deeply grateful for the opportunity to spend a little time with this wonderful, gentle soul. Thank you Neely, for sharing your amazing boy with all of us - I'm so sorry for your loss -Tracy Feeney
Omd, I just opened my computer to this. Neely, my heart is breaking for you. I feel so lucky that I got a chance to meet both Champ, and you in NYC. You are a fantastic doggie mom with your heart so full of love. We are lighting our prayer candle here, while Izzy, and Bella Rose, have their paws crossed in prayer for your boy, Champ. -Laurie Piazza-Howard
It is with a heavy heart I tell you all my friend, Neely lost the love of her life today. Champ was a bait dog (the pictures are a little graphic) and was rescued with the help of a Florida rescue and foster/adopted by Neely. His initial story is here, but his whole story is tremendous. He became a Therapy dog, worked with his mom in a hospital, was a dog scout, appeared often on t.v. and had a social life I was jealous of! He got 2 or 3 lifetimes out of his rescued years. I got to meet him last year and his beautiful soul shone through his eyes. Through all his rescued life his has touched thousands of people's hearts, all of which are a little broken tonight. Please say a prayer or keep his mom Neely Bryanne in your thoughts. I can't imagine the pain and loss in her heart right now. -Jennifer VanHee
Neely. Just read about Champ passing on, on Facebook. My heart is truly very broken. I am just so so sad about this. He was a better person than alot of people I know. I'm so glad I got a Champcasso. I'm am happy about the pictures I took of him over the past few years & how great they came out. I just loved his smile. If there is anything I can do, just let me know. I bet if you had funeral services for Champy, the Church would be over flowing with people. That is how much he effected us all in South Florida. Take care Neely. Michael
Neely, I wish I had the words to soothe your broken heart. You and Champ taught so many of us what rescue is really about. We love you so very much. -Mary Fenton-Lee
Oh sweet Neely. When I saw the news I was crushed. Then when I read Champ's last post this morning it was like getting hit in the chest with a sledgehammer. I was actually at work and had to get up and leave the room so my coworkers wouldn't freak out when I started bawling. Even as I type this my eyes are still leaking, but the sadness is tempered by the knowledge that, with you as his voice and life coach, he touched the lives of countless people and was a shining example of just how amazing rescues dogs can be. I know I am just one of hundreds of similar messages today, but I just had to tell you that I saw him as such a special soul and I am a better person for knowing his story that you so selflessly shared with the world. -Jeff Nagengast
champy is very much loved by so many people. he is a hero, an icon a true champion . he will live on forever in spirit. he will be with you forever and always, just in a different way now. you will see him again! he is guiding you from a higher power now. - Jen Elvidge
Hey NeelyGirl. You know I am right down the street. If you need ANYTHING, PLEASE don't hesitate. I know you lost your soulmate. I remember when Champ was Daphney's escort to the first cotillion right after we met you at Worth Avenue! I just can't stop crying. Nobody will ever forget Champ - he made such a difference in so many lives, mostly because he had the BEST MOMMY in the whole world! -Lois Weiss
Oh my gosh. I am beyond sad. I am so sorry Neely Bryanne. I know if champ could have he would have chose to stay with you. I wish I could give you a hug. I know the deep grief you are going through. Remember you are not alone. Champs spirit is with you until you see him waiting at the gate for you in heaven. Thank you for sharing Champ Waring with us Neely Bryanne. Hugs from kansas. -Shannon Lynn Smith
Goodbye Champ. People may think I'm crazy for loving animals the way I do, but this guy is one of the biggest reasons I love animals as much as do, and support rescue. He was a abused, used as fighting bait dog, and even shot several times. He recovered and became a therapy dog, painter, dog scout, and actor/model. This morning he went to the Rainbow Bridge. I'm lucky enough to have known him. keep his mom Neely in your thoughts please. -Tish LeClair
Loved reading his story and how you gave him so much love and happiness before his passing. Thank you for your kind and beauty heart. -Lizzy Caple
Really sorry for your loss. At a loss for words, but know we are thinking of you & even though we were never fortunate to meet Champ, our hearts are breaking too. Thank you for sharing your son with us Neely Bryanne as he was truly a gift. -Terri , Chris, Ashley, Sully, & Dime Zummak
I've tried very hard since the news broke of Champ Waring's passing to write something for him, but I am honestly still in denial that he is gone and I didn't want to think about it while I was in Ohio for fear I would just not want to do anything with rescues. I got the chance to meet Champ at the first BullieQue in 2012 and saw him again just a few months ago at this year's BullieQue. Champ is my birthday cake buddy! I was star struck when I first met him and he was like "WHO DIS CRAZY DUDE?!" We quickly became buddies and bonded over birthday cake and this past Bullie Que we made fun of his brother Baby Bear (aka Bronx). Champ is the epitome of what rescue is all about and he worked with what seemed like no sleep for others in need and sharing his survivor story. I feel I could not do Champ justice by simple words because he was so much more than that. If you ever had a chance to meet him you knew that he was special. He cared for others, dancing with his mom, seeing his patients, playing Jolly Ball, walking on the beach, this dude knew how to have fun. I can only say that I hope to one day be half the man that Champ Waring is to the world. I love you buddy! Birthday cake will never be the same for me. - Brian Batista
They say we should leave everything and everyone better than we found it. In my experience, that is easier said than done. Today, the Crawford girls hearts are broken as we mourn the passing of Champ Waring. In our hearts, as with so many, he was a member of our family. Beans declared him "hers" from the moment she met him and their love grew over the years. It was pretty hilarious to see how these two white bulldogs had parallel lives in separate parts of the state. They even have the same surgery scar! (not to mention an obsession with jollyballs) His Mom, Neely shared him so well with all of us. Together, they created a legacy of love and awareness in the rescue world that will likely never be duplicated. His story is one of surviving the cruelest of circumstances and he became the face of bulldog rescue as his story unfolded at the same time social media exploded. Champ started with healing his own wounds, then behavior training, then to dog scouts, therapy dog, dog actor, founded Bullies Against Bullying and created a legacy of love and kindness in every venue. Truly, he (with his Moms help) is a soul meant to actually demonstrate the "how" of leaving everything better. May his legacy and his love continue to grow through his family's voice via The Diva Dogs. We are grateful for each and every joyful moment we had with him. Thanks for giving us the example to live by, Champ! Rest in peace, we are all looking forward to the day we see you again. -Shontell Crawford
I am posting this through tears. I lost one of my heroes this morning. I will always love you, sweet Champy. -Angela Bell
Champ's story should be a movie. It's that good and amazing. He and Neely were so blessed to have found the perfect partner in each other. -Lori Gaston Olivieri
Today we mourn the loss of our dear Bullie friend Champ Waring. You fought a good fight Champsky. You will be forever in our hearts. Have fun in Bullie heaven with all your other Bullie friends. You might be gone but you will never be forgotten. Love you lots! -Maggie Zayas
My heart is breaking in hearing of Champ Waring's passing. He truly made an impact on me. He was very lucky to have you!!! -Angie More
Neely Bryanne, I am heartbroken about Champ Waring. I can't imagine what you are going through. You will be in my thoughts. He touched so many and brought smiles everywhere he went -Amanda Jackson
Neely, this is my favorite photo of Champ and you. The love, respect, and dedication to one another reminds me of the relationship that I had with Valentino. I lost him last November to cancer on his heart. He was the first companion that I had to help transition. KNOW that Champ is with you, and has his paw on your shoulder to let you know he is happy and his soul is soaring! Your energies will always be intertwined. Know also that he may choose to return to you in another body. My Valentino did, his name is now Donatello ♡ I send you love and healing (((♡))) -Vickie Mitchell
Neely, I am so sad to hear about Champ Waring's passing. He was one of my first "dog" friends on FB and followed his adventures and loves and mumpee beds and him and Kanga and Roo and Girl were so real in our lives and then I got to meet you and Champ and Bronx and Charles in NYC and I was so happy to be a "real life" friend not just a facebook friend. Crying with you, but of course the love that we feel for the pups never ends. It just transfers from one form to another... Champ's love with never be gone. -Jennifer-jo Moyer
It's a very sad day in Bullie Nation... Champ Waring has left this earth and is playing jolly ball at Rainbow Bridge. I have no great words of comfort for his wonderful loving mom Neely Bryanne and The Diva Dogs. I wish I did but losing our fur kids is an awful pain in your heart that you just can't imagine. Thank you for sharing Champs story and his life with us. You are an amazing bullie mom, an inspiration to us all. I do hope you find comfort in the love that Bullie nation has for you Neely. I can't even imagine how hurt you are. My boy Meaty will be waiting at the jolly ball area for a game with Champ and pizza afterwards...I hear there is a group of bullie kids waiting for him to play, (I heard someone say something about The Paw Club Kids had a great clubhouse)... and to thank him and his momma for the help when they were sick ...I am one of those that want to thank you...for helping me when I lost my boy. You were right there on the phone giving me help from far away. So please feel my hugs from far away. We will always love you Champ, everyday. So very sorry. Love you Neely -Brenda Fox
I'm sure you have received a million messages. That picture with you, Baby Bear, and Charles broke me. I truly don't know what to say. There really are no words to comfort. Champ is one of a kind. He was one of my first friends on FB and FB will never be the same. I wish there could be something I could do to ease the pain. I can't thank you enough for sharing him with me. (((HUGS))) -Rebecca Slater
My heart is broken. Please keep my friend Neely Bryanne in your prayers as Champ has passed. I can truly say I have never seen such a close bond as those two were. For those of you who don't know Champs story...he was used as a bait dog and went into rescue (in Fl) with gaping holes in his face and neck. Not only did Neely foster him but then adopted and nursed him back to health. He became a Dog Scout, a certified therapy dog, an actor and numerous other accomplishments and went to work every day with his momma. I am so thankful I got to see him in April at Bullie Que and kiss his sweet face. RIP Champy...please look after your momma, ok? - Teresa David Weybright
What a sweet story! So glad he was able to get the love he deserved after all the abuse. My heart is breaking for his mom. They came such a long way. -Rosemarie Bobon Banks
